Founder Peter D. Hyman
Our founding attorney, Peter D. Hyman, passed away in 1999 after enjoying a life that was devoted to service. Throughout his life, Pete was active in professional, community, and political affairs in Florence County.
Pete served as a member of the House of Representatives for 10 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of Francis Marion University and maintained a lifelong relationship with the armed services and retired as a brigadier general of the U.S. Army Reserve in 1985. He founded our firm in 1953 and started a tradition of legal service and excellence that has continued to the present day.
