William P. Hatfield
Bill has a trial practice with an emphasis on trucking, nursing home neglect, personal injury, products liability, insurance bad faith, litigation practice and Social Security. Bill has tried nearly 200 jury cases in 3 states and has argued cases before the South Carolina Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia and the United States Supreme Court.
He is an Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates and is one of only a few attorneys in South Carolina to have obtained board certification as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Boston. Bill has participated as an instructor in the S.C. ABOTA Masters in Trial Program. He has also been designated as 2012 Super Lawyer.
In addition, Bill is an active member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association having served on its Board of Governors from 1984 through 1990. He is a present member of the American Association for Justice and a past member of the National Association of Social Security Claimant Representatives. He is also a present member of the American Association of Justice Trucking Litigation Group.
